Don't Go Through It, Grow Through It

Hey guys! This week has been really good, but kinda crazy with transfers. There has been either 3 or 4 missionaries in our tiny apartment, so that has been really fun.

On Tuesday we woke up, and headed to the bus stop, and said goodbye to the missionaries leaving our area. Then we went back to the apartment to finish our studying. Before we left our apartment we got a call from a ward member saying he had a single Elder at his house, so me and Chan picked him up, and went to lunch. At lunch the Lady gave me a plate of eggs. In the past eggs have made me throw up, so I was a little nervous. But before meals that either, look like they might destroy my stomach, or meals that look gross, I pray for Heavenly Father to make the food sweet, like he did for Nephi. Sounds cheese I know, but it has worked every time! And I wasn't sick after eating the eggs, so I was very blessed.

The next day was awesome! I woke up and had an amazing study sesión. It was cut short because we had to go to the bus station again. But relevation was pouring down on me! And I decided to make a plan. I liked a quote my dad said to me on Pday. "Dont go through it grow through it," So that has been the name of my plan. It's a really simple plan, but it has been incredibly effective in making my week amazing! There are two points. First: Souly focus on what I can controll( which includes compairing my progression to others). Second: implement Jesús in everything! These two things really changed my week! The rest of my day was amazing! It was like someone injected me with straight excitement, and puré joy! Ive also found out that the more I try to speak spanish, the better my days go.

Thursday we went to our zone meeting, and met our New Zone. They are all super cool, and funny. My spanish is still no where near perfect, but it has improved so much in 6 weeks. After the Zone meeting we talked to Carlos. He wastes so much of our time, because we teach him at his work. So he either is on the phone, working, or distracted. We sat in his office for like an hour, and then he told us to come back at 6. I asked Chan why we couldn't teach him at his house, and Chan told me becuase he is never home. So I wasn't looking forward to going back because I knew we would just waste time again. It's sad because Carlos asks questions, seems into it. But recently it seems like he just wants to hangout with us. But we went back, and he was tired, so he was receptive! We were teaching a good lesson, and I actually got to teach the first part which was so amazing! But the lesson was going good untill Carlos coworker came in. He is a member, but he's kinda crazy. He came in and totally ruined the lesson. He distracted Carlos, and then when we would teach something he would tell us it wasn't correct. He then would teach false doctrine! He told us the angel who talked to Mary was actually Lucifer, and went on to teach other stuff we had to correct. It was sad. But Carlos likes asking good questions. He just doesn't want to change. So please pray for him.

On Saturday, and Sunday the weather was increíble! It was raining most of the day, so it wasn't blazing hot. And Sunday I actually wore a jacket! Crazy! But saturday was kinda a weird day. I woke up and just could not stop thinking about the cool house I built In my head, I was obsessed. And so the whole day I was thinking about that cool house. I was in Mexico, but my head was in a totally diffrent place. It was trippy. I had a cool experience though. We were hiking in the hills to talk to some members, and I was in my mind. But at the top of the hill, I got the prompting to enjoy where I was in that moment. I was blasted back to reality, and the view was amazing! I can't even begin to describe it, but I just kept thinking Mexico isn't that bad. It was cool.

Lastly, on Sunday we went to church, and to my surprise we had an inactive memeber show up! We have been going to his house and teaching him, because he remembers nothing about our gospel, he was just baptised at 8. So that was cool. But then we looked at the back row, and another investigator was there! My 3rd week here, she came up to me and proudly spoke to me the english she learned while living in the states. She was so happy to talk about the states, and how she cut hair there for 20 years. So we talked and got her info. We didn't teach or see her again, so I thought she didn't want to learn more. But I guess Chan has been texting her, and got her to church. So that was a super cool suprise. And also Chan has been super cool to me this week, we have been buds. He has been helping me with the lessons, and has been letting me teach a little. It's been really good. He also gave me a piece of his liver taco. It tastes like it smells.

I really have loved this week! Practicing those two principals has changed things dramatically! Life has been amazing. I hope you all are doing good, and I hope your week was good too. Love ya!
