Feliz Navidad

Hey everyone! I hope your Christmas was amazing. This week was good, but pretty slow. We really didn't do much until the 23rd. But well get into it.     On the 23rd Barney and I got invited to a Posada! We asked our leader what that is, and he just text us back in English with these words, " crazy freakin Mexican party bro." And it was super fun! The inactive member gave us socks, and then we just ate food, and talked. It was really good because we also found 4 new investigators at the party. And then on the way home, we found one more! We counted our blessings that night. A cool thing I liked about the Posada was at the beginning all of the visitors at the party had to sing a song to get it in. It represented Mary and Joseph asking the inn keeper if there was room in the inn. I love the traditions here, they all are tied to the real meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ.     But Christmas Eve and Christmas was pretty relaxed, we really didn't do much. On Christmas we o...

Heart Break Almost Baptism

This week was almost a Christmas miracle. we´ll just say that. Here is the story.     Me and Elder Barney found this guy on a boat Wednesday. He wanted to learn English so we told him that we would teach him on Friday. Friday came and we clickbaited this guy by teaching him the first lesson. I actually taught a lot, and I felt the spirit so strong testifying about the Libro de Mormon. I feel so good when I talk about the Book of Mormon, everytime the spirit tells me that this is why I am here. After the lesson the guy told us he was super interested, and already loves the good book. He also told us that he was leaving for a month this Wednesday. So that night we taught him again, and he would just tell us how much he loved this gospel. So then on Saturday we invited him to get baptized in 2 days on Monday. And he was excited! We were so hyped! Sunday he was going to come to church, but it was raining, so he couldn't come because all of his transportation was closed. We were re...

No Matarás

Buenos, buenos. Life has been good and busy. This week was full of fun stuff! The only thing is we keep finding people not in our area.     We taught Eliel (the guy who had a dream about the restoration) this week. And it went really well! He also brought 5 more of his friends to our appointment, so we have been finding a lot of people in Alamo. But president gave us permission to teach the people in Alamo, so that has been fun, but difficult. We honestly are going to just hand them off, because it is so hard to get people to church, especially when they are not in our area. And also our area needs a lot of help too. Another cool thing happened this week too. We got a text from this guy that we called saying, " I am investigating your church, and every time I read the Libro de Mormón I feel peace. Please teach me tonight." That was so cool! The only thing about it is he also is not in our area. So we taught him that night, and then passed him off to some really good Elders. H...

NO ME DIGA!

There was a fat milagro (miracle) this week! I didn't have to take as many cold showers! The reason for this is because we didn't have water for a day! Mexico is amazing!     This week was me and Barney trying to be adults in a foreign country, and language. We had to pay for rent, lighting, and fix our water situation all in one day. It was a good time. We were literally laughing the whole time. That is how you can describe our companionship. But I'm calling it now when Barney becomes AP. No joke he cares so much about the mission, it's amazing. Everyday we try to be better, and focus on how we can improve as missionaries. So when  I write later in my mission that he became AP, Just know I called it now.     Anyway we had so many blessings this week. We have no business accomplishing the work we accomplished this week. We are 2 gringos who know nothing about how to be missionaries. So everything we do is because of the Lord. We just try to be exactly obedient. ...
