Noche De Películas!

Image
Buenos dias! I hope everyone had an amazing week! This week was pretty similar to the last week, but it was a lot better! We have just been in the grind of finding people! It is a whole different ball game here in Xalapa!  Tuesday is usually always our best day because we always are packed with Citas! In the morning we were going to meet up with Guillermo in the church. About 5 min till the hour he calls us and tells us he is here. We go out to look for him, but he is no where to be found! He walked to the other church in Xalapa! So he took about another 30 min walking to our church. It all worked out in the end though. He seemed to love the church, and the spirit that is there as well! Then we went with Tita after. She went to church last Sunday, so we were pumped to see her. When we asked her how it was she really got sad, and told us how bad it was, and that she didn't want to go back. That about broke my heart. No one welcomed her, or even talked to her at church, and she just ...

Wandering Like Moses

Image
Buenos días todos! This week was good, but a bit tough. All of our people that we are teaching were out of town, so we did a lot of wandering like Moses. Even though it was a bit tough we saw some miracles, that was such a blessing!  Tuesday is always are best day. We had a lesson with Guillermo, and Tita! Tita said she would give up coffee, and went to church! That was incredible! She is progressing super well, and I really hope she will take the step of getting baptized! Guillermo loves the Book of Mormon, but still doesn't want to go to church. We've gotta figure that one out. Also today when we were going to the food, a lady stopped us and gave us a huge thing of Costco popcorn! It was incredible!  Wednesday through Thursday was just the normal missionary grind, really nothing interesting happened.  Friday we were walking and this creepy girl came up and started talking to us. I felt really uncomfortable, but she gave us her number, because she wants to learn English....

Hey Everyone!

Hey everyone! This week was really good! I really don't have much to say this week, but it went really well! We had a challenge in the district of who could have the most lessons with members! It was a good motivation. Tuesday I went on divisions, and it was really fun! We knocked doors, and a lady let us in, and gave us water. It was super nice because we were roasting in the heat. We are going back next week! Wednesday we had such a miracle happen! A guy walked up to us and told us he would like to go to church and be baptized! It was incredible! Sadly last minute, he couldn't show up, but for sure next week he will come. Thursday we met with Mireya, she wants to make the decision and be baptized! It was such a miracle! It made me super happy! She watched all of conference, and loved it! It was a great week! God really blessed us with a ton of blessings! He is so good, and I am super grateful for his plan of salvation, and his son Jesus Christ. This Easter was a great time to...

Oh Hello There

Image
Hey everybody, I hope you all have had a great week! Sorry for the short email last week, I'll write a good one today! This week was super, and busy! It made me happy to finally see the ball rolling in this area!  Tuesday was a super busy day! We had a lesson in the morning with Guillermo! He is a stud! He loves the Book of Mormon, and actually lived in the Holy Land for a month. We taught him the plan of salvation and he loved it! Then we ate, and went with Tita! I love teaching her because she needs Christ so much in her life. After that Cita, we made our way to the hospital to take out number 11, and 12 of my ingrown toenails I've had in the mission. I'm pretty much a pro now, and have spent half my mission in my sandals. I get really chatty when I'm in pain, so I made friends with all of the doctors there, they're really nice! The doctor that actually took out my nail was pregnant! After, we rushed to a Noche de hogar we had that night, and it went well. We then...
