Xalapa Vacation

Buenos días! I hope everyone had a great week! I honestly had another hard week when it came to the work. We lost another couple of people who decided that they didn't want to be apart of this great church. They had dates to be baptized, and then just changed there mind. That just happens sometimes, so I'm glad I got to plant some seeds. Also this week I have been getting into family history, it's so cool! I love reading about all of my ancestors who joined the church. So many of them gave up everything to move to Utah! It has really been a testimony builder for me on how important this work is. Those missionaries didn't just change lifes, they changed generations! Thanks to them I have the gospel, and now I'm doing the same thing! Also shout out Peter Winward for getting a little blessing from Joseph Smith! And Hans Jorgen Hansen for having Angel Gabriel tell him to listen to the missionaries! There are so many cool stories, check them out! But let's get into t...

Some Will, And Some Won't

Buenos días todos! This week was very tough to say the least. There were a lot of things that went on between Elders in the Zone, the work, and a lot of other things. But ni modo, God is still good, and I saw a lot of his tender mercies this week. Also I have been going on a doctrinal splurge! I have always loved studying and learning about the gospel, but for some reason this week I have been on a different level! It's been incredible! If you just want to feel incredible all the time, read your scriptures during every moment you can! Even though a lot of aspects have made this week hard, I still have been crazy happy and optimistic this week! Scripture power is real!   Monday we went to Tajin, so that was awesome! It's always so cool seeing history! After Tajin pretty much the whole Zone Buzzed their heads, we all looked like gang members, it's hilarious!    Tuesday I went on divisions with Elder Trickey, our District Leader. I went to his District council to see how it ...

A Special Bond

Hey Kaycee! How are you doing? I know things haven't been the easiest for the past while. I just wanted to email you, and let you know how much you mean to me. I know I'm all the way in Mexico, but I hope you can feel my prayers, and fasts for you. You have always been such an amazing Aunt, and a better friend! I always loved when Mom would pass out the shirts you would send us from cool distant lands. I would put them on the second I got them. I also loved when you would watch us when our parents were gone. One memory I have in specific is when Mom and Dad were in Hawaii. The Sunday before they came home, I remember swinging on the swing by you, just talking while we got hit by little drops of rain. I'm not sure how old I was, but I have always enjoyed talking with you. You are such a good listener, and have always made me feel special. The best weekends growing up were the ones when you came down. I remember you would take me to target, and get me my favorite blue slushy!...

I'm Sick of Taxis!

Hey everyone, I hope your weeks all went well! This week we had a lot of traveling, so I'm pretty tired of busses, and taxis. But life goes on, and all the travels turned out to be worth it!      Monday we went to Xalapa, so that was incredible! I got to eat my one hamburger for the transfer, so I'm content. Tuesday we had our Leadership council, and that is always a good time. It's always a blast seeing all my friends, and listening to the President's revelation. But it was 12 hours of travel in 2 days, so I was happy to be home.      Wednesday we had our Zone Council. I felt like it went pretty well. We really have to work hard as a zone again this transfer, because pretty much all the missionaries got white washed. I also convinced everyone to shave their heads, so that will be fun.      Thursday we went up to Espinal to teach the family of 5, but sadly they weren't there. So we went back on Friday when only the mom and the kids were home....

Mission Of Miracles!

Buenos días todos! This week has been by far the busiest week I have ever had in the mission. I am so tired, but yet so happy with how things have been going this transfer, and its only the first week! This transfer we have 2 areas, Xaneth, and Espinal. Espinal is Huuuge, and is a one hour drive away from Xaneth. But it is sooo ready! From Espinal we also have a ton of little city's, that are about an hour away from Espinal. That is why things have been so busy for us. We have to take care of the needs of 2 huge areas, and the needs of our Zone. It's a blast!     Tuesday was Transfers, so I literally spent all day running around, taking Elders to there apartments, or waiting at the buss station. I was exhausting!      Wednesday was also a very interesting day. I had an other ingrown toe nail, so we went to take that out in the morning. We went to the doctors, and he was closed, so we didn't know what to do. We turned around, and to our surprise there was a foot ...

Miracle Time!

Buenos dias, buenas dias, everyone! This was an absolute monster of a week! It was really fun, but so crazy, and tiring! So we'll just jump right into it!  Tuesday was really interesting because we had a Zone council to pump up our Zone for the next transfer! Pretty much all of us arrived, so we were highly confident everyone was staying. And also this stake is not a fan of missionaries, so we set goals to change that, and help out public relations between members, and missionaries. It went really good, everyone seemed inspired, and me and my comp were happy. But then I kid you not, 20 mins after the council, me and my comp get a call about an Elder doing dumb things! So we had to deal with that which was not fun. Just don't be dumb! But on the bright side I FOUND ROOTBEER! It was the first time I had it in a year! So that was really cool! Honestly this week was just full of miracles. That's the one thing about this mission, it's a mission of miracles! Here is a little ...
