House Arrest

Image
Hey everyone! This week was pretty good, but im so glad it is over! I had to get another ingrown toenail removed, so from Thursday, to Saturday I was on house arrest. And that was soooo hard! It was nice to catch up on sleep, but I realized how much the work keeps me going. I just felt gross all weekend. I think my comp enjoyed it more than I did. When ever I went to leave the apartment to work, he was very quick to tell me we couldn't. That was funny to me, because when we got invited to a Noche de Hogar thursdsy night, he was all for leaving the apartment. But I was too, so it was a win, win!       Tuesday was a good day for work! This guy that I contacted last week called us saying that he's going through a tough time, and needed our help. So we went to meet him, and he is so ready for the gospel! We talked, and felt the spirit, it was awesome! He also has 2 kids, so that is always fun too. Then we met with another kid who came to church last Sunday. He also is su...

Mega Divisiones

This week was honestly pretty slow. It's honestly been a huge change going from Sanderson to Ayala. They are 2 completely different people, so I have been getting used to that.      Tuesday kind of killed me inside if I'm being honest. On Monday my comp gave all of his clothes to the laundry lady, so Tuesday we had to sit in the apartment till like 3. That was tough, I hate sitting in the apartment. But life's moves on.     Thursday I was studying when the Zone Leaders called me saying that they were outside our apartment. So I came out to welcome them, but to my surprise it was a zone leader, and the AP. He told us we were going to go on Mega splits! So Thursday I went with him, and we worked hard, it was sweet! He is way sick. We also had 4 elders in our area, so we got a lot of good work in!      Saturday we had a huge ward event! That was such a blast! But the best part was how many investigators were there! We also found. And brought a family...

No I Won't Back Down!

Hey everyone, I hope you all had great weeks! This week was very busy because he had transfers, but also super good! On Tuesday I received my new comp Elder Ayala, and had to say goodbye to Sanderson. I honestly almost cried when I dropped Sanderson off. I built such a good bond with him, and I really feel like my mission started when he became my comp. I'll miss him a lot, but I know he's doing great things, so I'm not worried about him.     Me and Ayala have been in the same zone before, and we are pretty good friends. When I received news that he was my comp I honestly was pretty scared. He is a great friend to have in a zone, but being his comp is a whole different thing. But I knew he liked to work, so that made me excited. Monday I was talking to his 2 second comp and he told me he didn't like to work, so that made me even more scared for transfers. He's an awesome guy, and we're great friends, he just has a big personality, and loves to tell people what t...

Hey everyone, this week really wasn't that eventful. It was the last week of my Son's training, so he was the senior comp. This week also was the last week of the transfer, and he knew he was leaving, so it was really hard for him to stay motivated to work. That's was kind of a bummer because I wanted it to be a week of just grinding, and end this great transfer strong. But it's okay, we still saw a ton of miracles.      I really did let him do everything this week, even if it was hard for me to watch or not that productive. It's his week to learn, so I would give him my input, and let him lead. He absolutely hates walking in the heat, so I knew street contacting was out of the picture for the week. But still while we walked from cita, to cita. I would contact everyone I felt impressed to contact. One of the biggest lessons I've learned here is that street contacting is unproductive if your doing it just to fill time. But if your asking God who is ready, and alw...
