Feliz Navidad
Hey everyone! I hope your Christmas was amazing. This week was good, but pretty slow. We really didn't do much until the 23rd. But well get into it.
On the 23rd Barney and I got invited to a Posada! We asked our leader what that is, and he just text us back in English with these words, " crazy freakin Mexican party bro." And it was super fun! The inactive member gave us socks, and then we just ate food, and talked. It was really good because we also found 4 new investigators at the party. And then on the way home, we found one more! We counted our blessings that night. A cool thing I liked about the Posada was at the beginning all of the visitors at the party had to sing a song to get it in. It represented Mary and Joseph asking the inn keeper if there was room in the inn. I love the traditions here, they all are tied to the real meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ.
But Christmas Eve and Christmas was pretty relaxed, we really didn't do much. On Christmas we opened up gifts, and ate with a member. After we called our family's, we bought a lot of snacks, and went to the church. We then watched a Christmas movie with some other Elders. The other Elders drive an hour to hang out with the zone, so that night we had a sleep over at our apartment. It was really fun.
That's honestly our week. This transfer has been super fun, but also super hard. I can't believe I only have one more week in it. Every day pushes me here. I never expected the mission to be this hard. Spanish is hard, and makes life really difficult. I've never wanted anything so bad. Anyway, I hope everything is good with you guys at home.
