Heart Break Almost Baptism

This week was almost a Christmas miracle. we´ll just say that. Here is the story.

 

 

Me and Elder Barney found this guy on a boat Wednesday. He wanted to learn English so we told him that we would teach him on Friday. Friday came and we clickbaited this guy by teaching him the first lesson. I actually taught a lot, and I felt the spirit so strong testifying about the Libro de Mormon. I feel so good when I talk about the Book of Mormon, everytime the spirit tells me that this is why I am here. After the lesson the guy told us he was super interested, and already loves the good book. He also told us that he was leaving for a month this Wednesday. So that night we taught him again, and he would just tell us how much he loved this gospel. So then on Saturday we invited him to get baptized in 2 days on Monday. And he was excited! We were so hyped! Sunday he was going to come to church, but it was raining, so he couldn't come because all of his transportation was closed. We were really sad, but then our Leaders told us we still could baptize him. We called the President, and he told us we were good to go! So we called him, taught all the commandments, and prepared him for the interview questions. He told us he was so down to get baptized, and he was so excited. He had his interview with the leaders at 8:45, and we finished our call at 8:30. During that 15 mins this guy's Uncles convinced him that he should wait to be baptized, because they are not a fan of our church. So we got sad news that night about his decision to not get baptized. He told us his Uncles wouldn't let him get baptized, even though he is 23 and can make his own decision. But it is ok.... just a bit sad. That really sums up my week. 

 

 

Life is good though, we are having a gift exchange today, so that should be fun. And we just have a blast every day. I hope you all have a great Christmas!
