Team Tuxpan!
This was such a good, and fun week! Again we saw so many miracles! I have felt so blessed this transfer, it's been Incredible!
I went on splits twice this week! First with Elder Alfaro. He is a tall Mexican who loves basketball, and is obsessed with Highschool Musical. Literally the whole time I was with him he was singing songs from that movie. Our splits where so fun! I went to Álamo, so he was incharge. Álamo is the only area with Bikes in our mission. So we rode around on our bikes all day! It was so fun to be on a bike, but really difficult. The bike was stuck in the hardest gear for peddling, and the breaks where broken. I found out the breaks where broken while I was flying down a rocky hill, and couldn't stop. I didn't crash luckily, so that was definitely a blessing. In the night Alfaro and me played church ball! At first I wasn't thrilled because I thought it was a bit of a waist of time, but then I found out 6 nonmembers where coming, so I guess I had to play. It was an absolute blast! I was still in my sandel because of my toe, but I pulled my weight. Elder Alfaro was just cherry picking the whole time, so I went to stop him, and he 360 dunked on me. I couldn't disrespect that. After we contacted the nonmembers, so that was pretty cool too. Churchball really is effective.
I also went on splits with Elder Escarsica! He is literally the coolest guy alive, we had so much fun, and did so much good! He is such a good Elder! I also got him hooked on the "People Code" book! It's about personalitys, and is literally so helpful! He can speak English, so we both where Nerding out on how to deal with people, it was such a good time.
Somos un equipo! Our District is literally such a good team! It is so cool to be apart of it! But I'll explain how we help each other out. So we had Carlos, our investigator who we taught, put on date, and then passed to Tenichaco because he lived in that area. Tenichaco baptized him this Saturday! It was so cool going to the baptizm, and seeing another soul recive salvation! Then we had Gilberto. Tenichaco found him, taught him a bit, and then passed him off to Tuxpan. He also got baptized Saturday! So that was really cool too! Now lastly we have Zuri, and her Husband Jesus. Tuxpan found them, and passed them off to us! So our district has all been helping each other out! It's amazing. But let's talk more about Zuri. We had a lesson with her, and she is wiiild, and has a massive past. We talked with her for 3 hours, teaching her about the gospel. And then Brimhall pulled a power move of the century! She asked If she could ever change, and forget her past, because she wants to be a good person. Elder Brimhall said it would be as easy as walking through a door (we where at the church). So he got up and opened the door to the font, and then Zuri asked us when could she get baptized! We put a Fetcha for next week! We have had 3 lessons with her, and all of them last about 2 to 3 hours. But she is so ready! She came to church Sunday with her husband, and that was also an adventure. We were teaching her husband, and he had so many questions about the commandments. And then Zuri came in clutch, and started teaching him literally every thing we taught her the last 3 days! She is so ready, and has so much faith, it was really cool to see how much this gospel makes people want to change, and forget there past. So we should be baptizing her Sunday! We also through a fecha on Axel, a kid we have been working with! So now we have 6 people on date!
Probably the biggest miracle we saw this week was at church! We have been teaching this girl named Petra who lives 2 hours away from church, but she called us and told us she was at the church an hour before the meeting started! So we rushed over and taught her the plan of salvation. Then during the meeting Zuri and Jesus walked in a bit late, so we had 3 people at church! Sacrament hits, and another person walked through the door. I had no clue who he was though, I just new he was not a member. Right after he sat down, 2 more investigators walked in, so we had 6 at church! An absolute miracle! The meeting ended, and me and Brimhall split up to talk to everyone. I went to the mystery man, and found out it was Fabian, our investigator who was going to get baptized Saturday, but didn't come to church, so he couldn't. We have only done call lessons, so I have never seen him before. We started talking, and he told me he loved church and felt so good. So I rescheduled his baptism, all by my self! He is getting baptized on Saturday! It was such a great experience. Sunday was the first time I just spoke Spanish like I did English, I didn't even have to think about it. It was super cool, and a testament that Spanish won't come when I want it, it comes when the Lord needs it. But then after church we taught Jesus like I talked about earlier. And I think we can get him In the water too! Especially with Zuri throwing down truths we just barely taught her. She really is amazing!
The blessings I have seen these last couple of weeks have been amazing! God really has been in the details, guiding every step we take. He is just so good, and wants us to succeed so bad! All we have to do is follow him, ask, and then be extremely grateful for him, and literally everything he has given us. Every good thing in this earth is from him. Every good thought comes from him. True happiness only comes from his plan, and the gospel. He is the God of miracles. I hope you all have such a good week, and I hope you know how much I love you!
