Plaza Fuerte!

Buenos días! This week was popping, and crazy busy! But let's hop into it! We were supposed to have 5 baptisms this week, but we had to move 2 to next week. Not really a big deal, and it honestly made it easier to plan, and baptise the others. Also we put another person on date this week too! So hopefully by the end of the transfer we'll have 6 people baptised!! Every night I pray, and thank God for the opportunity to be in this area, and be his instrument! This area has been called dead for so long, but God has given me miracle, after miracle, guiding me to who is ready. All I have to do is follow his spirit, and work after I receive promptings! He's just soo good!

Tuesday: Vianca!

So Tuesday was Viancas baptism, so we spent the morning preparing, and cleaning. Right as we get finished, I received a text that no one wants to receive. She told me her Mom just randomly took off, so she couldn't be baptised today, she Had to work at the family store. She wanted to move the baptism to tomorrow at the same time. Everything was already planned, and the ward was going to come today, so we didn't want to move the baptism. We tried calling her, but she wouldn't answer. Next thing she knew, we showed up at her house fighting for her salvation. I told her all we needed was 45min. She said ok, and we moved the baptism from 5:30 to 6:00. We went back to the church to greet the members. 6:00 rolls around and Vianca is a ghost. So I told all the members that we were just waiting for her 6:30 comes by, and I call her. She doesn't pick up, but her 4 year daughter does. So I just sat on the phone for 10 minutes trying to decipher her reformed Egyptian. Then finally she tells me she is on her way. She finally came at 7:10. It was a bit stressful, but I was relieved when I saw her. But after that we had a beautiful service, and Elder Sanderson had his first Baptism! It was awesome to see the light in her eyes when she walked out of the church!

The rest of the week I wasn't in my area too much, I had divisiones with the ZLs again, because we both were interviewing people for baptisms. Then the day after that we had a youth activity in Vega de la Torre. It's about 2 hours away from Martinez. But it was pretty fun, I love bus rides, because I can just sit, and relax for a bit. I have been extremely tired this week because of the baptisms, and the Elders in Tlapacoyan. JUST DONT BE DISOBEDIENT! It's tough to handle. But we got everything prepared on Saturday to be ready for Sunday, and that was a blessing!

Sunday: Raul Maximiliano Hernandez De La Cruz, and Walfred Saul Hernandez De La Cruz.

Those are the names I had to say yesterday, and they were quite the mouthful. I'm confident in saying that Yesterday was my favorite day from my whole entire mission! It started out by me missing ward council. I felt pretty dumb because I've probably missed 128 things these past 2 transfers due to my lack of paying attention to details. For some reason that was the cherry on top, that put me down. So I said a very sincere prayer asking God to help me not feel like an Idiot. And of course throughout the day he delivered! Anyway church came around and we had to pick Vianca up because she was getting confirmed today. So obviously we showed up to church 10 min late. But it wasn't a bit deal because church usually starts 20 mins late. Gotta love Mexican time. I thought Bishop was going to confirm Vianca. So they announce that Vianca is going to get confirmed. I then noticed no one from the bishopric got up to do it. Then I realized bishop doesn't know how. So he called me up to do it. So I had to confirm her with out being prepared. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, I was still pretty embarrassed after, but I'm kinda used to that now. Just another lesson I need to learn. After church we headed to the stake center to do some final preparations for the baptism. Before the baptism when members started showing up, Hna Eli, and Hno Juan came up to me, and told me they had a gift for me. And then they pulled out a brand new watch! It was the nicest thing ever! They saw that I have been taping my old watch around my wrist, because the band broke, and then got me a new one! I can't describe how grateful I am for them! After the twins family came, and we did the baptisms! It was by far my favorite baptism I've been to. There were so many nonmembers there, who were amazed by the event. Also there were so many kids there, so excited to watch the twins get baptised. The mom had a light about her all evening, and the kids shined after they were confirmed. I baptised Raul, and confirmed Walfred. Then after the baptism we went to the kitchen, and ate cake, and hot dogs. It was so fun talking to everyone. It was so refreshing seeing the kids play, running around the church, while the adults talked, and laughed. There are so many broken families here, so this event was just a testimony of how important families are to God's plan. I just felt God's love for everyone at that event. It was powerful! Also me and the bishop talked to all the non members, and a lot of them are really interested, so that was awesome too! Our bishop is awesome. After the event, we cleaned up, and I stayed to interview an investigator for the Hna's! Yesterday was truly a special day that I will never forget.

That's the scoop! Today I'm going to learn how to make tacos with the family who gave me the watch! They are awesome! And then hopefully this next week we can baptise 3 more! But God is good and he qualifies me. I have learned that this transfer. Anyone who comes unto him being humble and submissive will grow. The book of Alma talks about how we are less than dirt, because when God commands dirt to do something it does it. But when we are commanded to do something we doubt it. If God can make amazing things with dirt, because dirt is obediente, imagine what he can do with us when we are obediente! That's my thought this week. I sure love you all, and hope your weeks are incredible!
