House Arrest
Hey everyone! This week was pretty good, but im so glad it is over! I had to get another ingrown toenail removed, so from Thursday, to Saturday I was on house arrest. And that was soooo hard! It was nice to catch up on sleep, but I realized how much the work keeps me going. I just felt gross all weekend. I think my comp enjoyed it more than I did. When ever I went to leave the apartment to work, he was very quick to tell me we couldn't. That was funny to me, because when we got invited to a Noche de Hogar thursdsy night, he was all for leaving the apartment. But I was too, so it was a win, win!
Tuesday was a good day for work! This guy that I contacted last week called us saying that he's going through a tough time, and needed our help. So we went to meet him, and he is so ready for the gospel! We talked, and felt the spirit, it was awesome! He also has 2 kids, so that is always fun too. Then we met with another kid who came to church last Sunday. He also is super ready for the gospel! So we are going to try to put him on date next visit. Then we went to another family's house, and taught another super spiritual lesson! It was a good day!
Wednesday was also super awesome! We found out that the person Gladys is living with has his own home, so we had a lesson with her, and talked about how if she makes a couple sacrifices, she could be baptised! And because she is literally so ready, she excepted! So everyone please pray for her. This week she doesn't want us to come over, because she wants to find out for herself if the gospel is true. I'll be praying and fasting for her this week, because she literally is already a member!
Thruday I got my nail takin out. The hospital was catholic, so all the workers were Nuns. While the doctor was doing his thing I knew I was in good hands, because there where a lot of crosses, a mother Mary Photo, and a Saint Peter statue. The doctor was way cool. He said he would do the job for free! But as I was walking out A Nun caught us, and made me pay. It was sad.
Thursday was really boring. I pretty much read all day. I love reading so it was all good though. My morning consist of me waking up, reading for 30min, getting ready, reading/studying for 2 more hours. And then reading/studying Spanish, or in Spanish for another hour. Bottom line is I love to read! Then in the night We had a noche de hogar with Gladys, Gisela, and Bishops family. Also all of my district was there. Why they where there, I'm honestly still confused about that, sometimes Mexicans just do and say what they are going to do and say. But It was a blast! The only thing that was tough was leaving. Everyone begged and begged us not to leave. It's really weird here, because the bishop is usually the one who likes when Elders stay at his house till 10:30, 11. So I'm always the bad guy to him. It's the worst!
Now that all the recovery is done for my toe, I am pumped to get back to work! I literally have been kinda depressed just sitting in my apartment all day. It's do hard for me. The Lord has so many people prepared and ready to hear his message, and I am just so thrilled to be his instrument! It's exciting! I shure love you all! And hope you are doing great!
