Jr Companion

Hey everyone, this week really wasn't that eventful. It was the last week of my Son's training, so he was the senior comp. This week also was the last week of the transfer, and he knew he was leaving, so it was really hard for him to stay motivated to work. That's was kind of a bummer because I wanted it to be a week of just grinding, and end this great transfer strong. But it's okay, we still saw a ton of miracles.

I really did let him do everything this week, even if it was hard for me to watch or not that productive. It's his week to learn, so I would give him my input, and let him lead. He absolutely hates walking in the heat, so I knew street contacting was out of the picture for the week. But still while we walked from cita, to cita. I would contact everyone I felt impressed to contact. One of the biggest lessons I've learned here is that street contacting is unproductive if your doing it just to fill time. But if your asking God who is ready, and always talk to those people who you feel impressed to talk to, you will no doubt find someone the Lord has been preparing! So one day we were walking past a house, and I felt impressed to go back and talk to them. So I did, and to my surprise they let us in. We taught a lesson, and gave them a Book of Mormon. Then a few days latter we were passing by the area, so I quickly asked them if they read the intro, and prayed. They said yes, and with a smile on her face she told me it was true! God is good! So we will go back this week and teach another lesson.

Thursday we had a family home evening with the a lot of family's from the word, and I taught a fire lesson about the prodigal son. The work is awesome! And we had a couple inactive family's there.

The rest of the week was pretty lazy not going to lie. It kinda drove me nuts, but it's ok because Sanderson is still learning. We just went and did "member work" which really means we talked with Gisela, and the twins we baptised. But there was some productive conversation, and they fed us some crazy good tacos, so it wasn't all that bad. I'm just ready for this week, I can't wait to hit the grind again I have so much motivation, and know that I can do so much more good here!

I got transfer news yesterday, and nothing changed for me. I am still district leader here in Plaza Verde. But I finally have another Mexican comp!!! I'm so pumped. I'll miss Sanderson, but I know he'll grow in Tuxpan. Me and my new comp have been friends for a while so I'm excited but a little scared because he has a big personality. As long as he works hard it honestly doesn't matter. He is awesome.

That's about it! The theme of this week comes from the life of Thomas S Monson. He was always on the Lord's errand, and never doubted a prompting. So that had been my goal this week, and it has shown me miracles! What I love is that a prompting usual is us being an answer to another person's prayer! Love you all, and have a good week!
