No I Won't Back Down!

Hey everyone, I hope you all had great weeks! This week was very busy because he had transfers, but also super good! On Tuesday I received my new comp Elder Ayala, and had to say goodbye to Sanderson. I honestly almost cried when I dropped Sanderson off. I built such a good bond with him, and I really feel like my mission started when he became my comp. I'll miss him a lot, but I know he's doing great things, so I'm not worried about him.

Me and Ayala have been in the same zone before, and we are pretty good friends. When I received news that he was my comp I honestly was pretty scared. He is a great friend to have in a zone, but being his comp is a whole different thing. But I knew he liked to work, so that made me excited. Monday I was talking to his 2 second comp and he told me he didn't like to work, so that made me even more scared for transfers. He's an awesome guy, and we're great friends, he just has a big personality, and loves to tell people what to do. Anyway, he comes off the buss, and we go to our apartment, and he looks at me and says," Do we have any cookies( members that you just go to there house all day and do nothing)." That just made me laugh, and gave me a peek into what this transfer is going to look like. But I have a lot of respect for him. He told me he has been dead the last 2 transfers, and literally did nothing to work. But once he found out I was his comp, he has wanted to change a lot. And he already has.

We really have been going so hard this last week! We found 7 new people, and put a lady on date! She came to church yesterday, so I have faith. This transfer for me is my time to go, and step it up. This transfer is the last transfer of all of thr Americans that first got here. There pretty much the dream team, who helped this mission change a lot. But with them leaving a lot of missionaries are going to have to step it up to help the mission out. And that is my goal. Last transfer I was exactly obediente, and I saw miracles, so this transfer I'm trying to be even more so, and work even harder. And I have already seen miracles from that. We can knock doors finally in our mission, and I've realized how much I don't like it. What I do instead is pray, and ask heavenly father to show me where I can go to find the people he is preparing, and while I'm walking to a lesson, or home I'll get an impression to walk down a street, and knock a certain door. Or find a certain person. This has been crazy effective, and really cool spiritually! We have found so many people through this way of street contacting, and it had built my testimony so much! Every time this week when Ayala wanted to do something disobedient, I would tell him we can't because we need the spirit to find people who are ready. He didn't like that until Saturday. We were walking, and he had a feeling to pray. After his prayer he told me to look out for something that was yellow, or blue. As we were walking I had the feeling to turn around, and walk down a certain street. As we were walking down this street looking for something that was Blue and Yellow, a guy came around the corner with his family. He was wearing blue jeans, and a bright yellow shirt! We contacted him, and have an appointment for next Sunday! After that Elder Ayala told me that was the first time he felt that the spirit guided him. He also has been more obediente!

Really this week has been super good! We have been working so hard! And everytime Ayala tells me a rule doesn't matter, or trys to justify eating with a member after curfew. Because the book of Luke says you should, the song I won't back down plays in my mind. As I have built my relationships with the Savior, I don't give a care in the world what others think, perfect love cast out fear. Even other missionaries who call me a pharisee. I'm on his eran, and his time. I'm only a missionary for 2 years, and I refuse waist it. As Jesus says in Mathew 5:10, "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." That's good enough for me! I am on his team, and know it's the right one! I hope you all have a great week, and I love you a lot!
