Miracle Time!
Buenos dias, buenas dias, everyone! This was an absolute monster of a week! It was really fun, but so crazy, and tiring! So we'll just jump right into it!
Tuesday was really interesting because we had a Zone council to pump up our Zone for the next transfer! Pretty much all of us arrived, so we were highly confident everyone was staying. And also this stake is not a fan of missionaries, so we set goals to change that, and help out public relations between members, and missionaries. It went really good, everyone seemed inspired, and me and my comp were happy. But then I kid you not, 20 mins after the council, me and my comp get a call about an Elder doing dumb things! So we had to deal with that which was not fun. Just don't be dumb! But on the bright side I FOUND ROOTBEER! It was the first time I had it in a year! So that was really cool!
Honestly this week was just full of miracles. That's the one thing about this mission, it's a mission of miracles! Here is a little background on why. Last week we were going to have 2 baptisms, but we only had one because we couldn't get in contact with the family of Valeria, the 9 year old girl. So last week we popped by her house, and told her about her baptism that we planned. Her Mom lives separately, so we talked to her Grandparents, and they were really mean to us, and very skeptical about the baptism. Honestly I didn't think it was going to happen this transfer, but God was with us! At the end of my visit with the Grandparents, they finally gave me the number of the Mom. So we called her Sunday, and told us she needs to go back to church, and then told us to baptize her kid! It was such a crazy miracle! So on Wednesday I found out I had scabies (a weird thing, that makes me itchy all the time). So I spent the morning washing all of my clothes, and then finishing just in time for the baptism of Valeria! God has definitely been with us this week!
Friday was also awesome! We slept over at a different apartment Thursday night because we didn't have power in our apartment, which really means it gets hotter than the Devils steam room. In the morning I found this book called "Almighty". And it is incredible! It talks about how the most powerful being in all the universe is our Father in heaven! It just fills me with the spirit! I've also had a hard time understanding my relationship with my father in heaven, so this book has really been a game changer! I literally have built such a love for him, because I finally understand how much he loves me, and wants me to build a personal relationship with him! I have never felt so close to him before, and I also have never been so happier than I have these last few days. He really is the key to everything, and knowing how he views me, has really just made everything clear for me! So that has been such a blessing for me! I spent the morning reading 50 pages of that book! Also on Friday one of the Elders ended his mission, so we said goodbye to him, and adopted his company. So since Friday we have been living the trio life, and it's a blast! After we said goodbye to Elder Robertson, we rushed to our church to set up for the other baptism we had. Teresa is also another miracle! We met her 2 weeks ago at church, and she just loved, and needed the peace the gospel brings! So in the second lesson we put her on date! And her baptism was incredible! I love baptisms! They're just so special! It was such a good way to end the transfer.
Yesterday we received transfers, and Honestly they were pretty disappointing. We were hoping most of the Elders would stay because President white washed the Zone last transfer. To our surprise, he did it again. Me and my comp are both staying as ZLs, so in pumped about that! The only thing is that our Zone did so good last transfer, so now we have to rebuild momentum with the Zone. But I trust in the Lord, so I know it's for purposes. This week really has been incredible! I love seeing all the miracles God gives me everyday. He is just so good, and wants us to be happy so badly! That's why we have his gospel, it is as simple as that. As I have been building my relationship with him, I am filled with his spirit to the point where I think I'm going to pop! And I'm just reading about him! Imagine Moses when he had just a glimpse of God's power! It was so magnificent that Moses took hours to recover! He lost all of his strength, and realized how weak we really are compared to God. It's so beautiful, because that being is literally our Father! I testify of his plan that he has for me, and each one of you all! I promise that if you are going through it right now, turn to your father in heaven who knows you perfectly, and who literally sent his son, so we can find peace, and joy in this world. He will answer your prayers, and he will be there to comfort you. I love this gospel so much, and I love talking about it even more! Being a missionary is just the best! I also am so thankful for all your prayers, and hope you all have incredible weeks!
