Xalapa Vacation

Buenos días! I hope everyone had a great week! I honestly had another hard week when it came to the work. We lost another couple of people who decided that they didn't want to be apart of this great church. They had dates to be baptized, and then just changed there mind. That just happens sometimes, so I'm glad I got to plant some seeds. Also this week I have been getting into family history, it's so cool! I love reading about all of my ancestors who joined the church. So many of them gave up everything to move to Utah! It has really been a testimony builder for me on how important this work is. Those missionaries didn't just change lifes, they changed generations! Thanks to them I have the gospel, and now I'm doing the same thing! Also shout out Peter Winward for getting a little blessing from Joseph Smith! And Hans Jorgen Hansen for having Angel Gabriel tell him to listen to the missionaries! There are so many cool stories, check them out! But let's get into the week!

Really nothing to exciting happened until Thursday. But on Wednesday night Elder Ayala, and Elder Hernandez AC broke, so they slept with us. When they came over to our house they brought a lot of coke, and a lot of chips, so that was pretty funny. Thursday is when I started my vacation to Xalapa with Elder Trickey! I had to go up there to do some Visa stuff for 2 days, and ohh how I took advantage of those days. I left on the 5 hour buss ride, got to Xalapa, and headed straight to Burger King! Then I got to stay the night with the secretary's! They are in a trio right now, and they are all some of my really good friends. That was incredible! The next morning we went and did all of our Visa stuff, and I got to hang out with Elder Barney for a bit. Our buss left for Papantla at 3, and we got done with everything at 10, so I had a lot of time have fun! So first we hit Dary Queen, for an Oreo shake! And then we chilled in the offices for a bit, and I just talked to the Days( the awesome senor couple we have). I then ended my trip with Pizza! I haven't had good pizza in 7 months! It was a good little Vacation.

Friday was another slow day, but we found 3 girls that have been to church, and have had all the lessons, they just need permission from there mom, so we are hoping they can get baptized this transfer. I also found A&W Root Beer! That was incredible!

Sunday was a pretty good day, we met up with our friend Lupita. She has 9 years, and is awesome! She has been going to church with her Aunt Teresa( the girl we baptized last month). The lesson went really well. She told us she wants to get baptized, so we just have to talk to her dad.

That is about it for the week. This transfer has been really hard with the work. We lost 7 people who had dates to be baptized in 2 weeks. But that just means the Lord has a lesson for me to learn. I've also learned that Ice cream solves most problems. My comp broke up with his girl friend, and so he's been a bit down this week. And also with everyone dropping, it has really effected him. So I've spent most of the week trying to help cheer him up. I found out ice cream has helped the most! Who doesn't like Ice cream? It sure makes me happy! Even though this transfer has been pretty hard, I still am so happy! I've really been focusing on my relationship with the father, and Jesus Christ. They really are the only way to true happiness, even when things aren't going the way you planned. So if your struggling, or want to be happier I challenge to you to turn to them, and I promise things will get better! And also buy some ice cream! That helps aswell! I hope you guys all have incredible weeks!
