Camila Y Carolina!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weeks, and also had the opportunity to watch conference! It is so cool that we get to receive revelation from a modern day prophet! Also I am pumped that Mexico is getting 4 more temples! Crazy! All in all, this week was pretty great!

Tuesday we had our first english class! It honestly turned out better than I thought. We had some investigadors come, and we all had a good time. I taught the last part of the class by my self, because my comp needed to go with our district leader to interview Carolina, and Camila for there baptism this week. They passed with flying colors!

Wednesday we pretty much just ran around getting things ready for the baptisms. It was really relaxed. We had a couple lessons, and then went to the sports activity. We then made the program for the baptism. We went to visit this family, and we ended up teaching 6 people on the spot. Most of them were kids, so we did the activity, "Jump to Jesus." Kids are so funny.

Thursday we ate at this rich guys house, it was really ramdom. I have known this member for a bit now, but I had no clue he lived where he lived. He gave us fried chicken! Actually now that I think of it all the members this week gave us chicken. It is about the only thing you will eat in Papantla. After food we went to tocar puertas! We were getting reject as usual, none of our aproches were working. Then I yelled "Buenas Tardes!" As one does in Mexico, and this lady comes walking our to greet us. I got a really good feeling, so I juat dropped all my approaches, amd asked her, "do you want to hear about Jesucristo?" She let us in immediately! The shock on my comps face was priceless! We then had an incredible lesson with her. She is really awesome, and loves learning about God! So im pretty excited for her, her name is Betsa.

Friday was our baptism! That was really cool! We spent a lot of the day getting ready for that. But the service was packed as usual! And there was 4 investigadores there! It was really cool! Camila, and Carolina were so nervous, but excited! It was so fun to watch! Everything turned out really well! After thr baptism, the young woman invited us to eat some tacos that thry made for there activity. Man those tacos were so good! It was a great way to end the day!

Saturday was conference! In the morning we cleaned the baptismal font, and then I bought a ton of snacks! Conference isn't conference without snacks. As soon as I walked out of the store we got a text from the APs, saying that we were doing a misison fast. So I had to wait to eat my snacks. It was pretty sad, im not going to lie. But conference was sweet! I feel like conference is now becoming a survival guide! Everyone talks about how we will not survive with out Jesus in these coming days. Everyone stressed the importance either gaining a relationship, or drawing on the power of Christ. It was really special to me because It's something I have really been trying to focus on lately. Like 5 months ago I started Jesus the Christ, and I enjoyed it, but it would put me to sleep. I just picked it up again last week, and wow! There has been such a difference! I can't seem to put the book down, it just fills me with joy! I was thinking what changed? It's the same book, and I have been reading the same words that I read. But then it hit me. I have changed! Or at least my relationship with him has changed a lot! I really feel like I know my Savor, and that has filled me with peace and joy! It is incredible to learn about him, and his life. He really is the Christ, and loves all! I testify that he is the way! Without him we won't be able to survive in this fallen world. That was the main message I got out of Conference.

Thats about it for the week! So just read your scriptures, and spend time with Jesus! That is the key to a happy life! I love you all, and hope you have great weeks!
