Tengo Sueño
Hey everybody! This week was absolutely awesome! At first I was pretty sad, but then I prayed and talked to the Man up stairs. I left the conversation feeling better than ever, and more happy then I have ever felt! The power of prayer is awesome! I also have had some weird lessons lately. It's been really funny.
Tuesday was so interesting. It has been raining for a while here, and it is so hard for people to want to listen to us when it rains. But we had a cita with this really weird guy. He is very ignorant, but reads a lot. During lesson we quoted an article of faith passage, and a scripture from the book of Moses. But yet he told us we are going to get eaten by dogs believing in the wrong God, because the Bible is perfect, and says so..... It was interesting to say the least. My favorite part was when I gave the first vision, and during the middle of my testimony he burts out," How did Joseph Smith know it was God?" I was mind boggled. I literally didn't understand. So I asked him, "would you know if God was infront of you?" And he said no. Sometimes I just don't understand people. That time was one of them. So in the Night I started divisiones with Elder López. We had a zoom meeting for the mission, so we hoped on to watch a devocional. At the end Pres. Made some changes, and talked for a bit. Then he asked an hermana to close with a prayer. But right before the prayer he interrupted and said super casually, "Oh ya! There will be a hurricane on Friday, so just stay in your houses, be safe, and I love you all!" Everybody started freaking out asking questions and stuff, and he just said, "Stay in your house, and it will all be ok. BYE!" and hung up. It was so funny!
Wednesday was interesting. We had a district meeting, and then Me and Lopez bought some Extra agua, and snacks for the hurricane. Then we got to work. It was a pretty good day. We had a Noche de Hogar with a family, and switched back.
Thursday was pretty sweet. The hurricane was supposed to hit at like 1ish, but a miracle happened, and it turned direccions, so it didn't end up happening. So we went with Karla. She is sisters with the girls we baptized a couple weeks ago. I can't remember if it was this week or last when we put a date for Saturday, but we went to prepare her. It was a struggle, because she has a lot of problems. We still weren't sure if the baptism would happen when we left.
Friday was incredible! I went on divisions with Gonzalito! He is a huge guy, who is just hilarious! He has no filter, so in lesson you're always on your toes. A couple pdays ago, we were at the church playing a game, and he just randomly gets up and throws a fire work out the door. Thats just who he is. But we had so much fun! Before we switched comps though, me and Beltrán went to this ladys house. We found her contacting, and taught her the restoration. Apparently she already was being taught by misioneros, but left her state before she was going to get baptized. So we put her on date for November! It was awesome! Then With Gonzales we put another friend on date in his area! Its awesome when people are so willing to except Christ!
Saturday all of the members were went to the temple so we moved Karlas baptism to Sunday. Also we got news that transfer are this week! Next Saturday, because new the missionaries are coming in early!
Sunday was sweet too! We ate hamburguesas, and had the Baptism of Karla! It was such a cool day! She was so worried, but after she got baptized, there was just a peace in her!
Thats about it! It was a great week! God is good, and he is waiting for us to talk to him. Nothing can top a good prayer with your father in heaven! I love you all! Have great weeks!
