Lost Phone

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a happy Halloween! We had an interesting Halloween to say the least. We went to go home, so we could drop some stuff off at the house. So we get out of the taxi, and as we are walking my comp asked me if I had the phone. I didn't have it! He then realized that we dropped it in the back of the taxi! And the taxi already drove off. We spent the next few hours trying to track down this guy. We got in contact with him, but he said he was already done driving for the night, and couldn't check untill the next day. It was quite a way to end the spooky season.

The next day we did everything old school. I realized it is nearly impossible to work without a phone! You can't do anything! But we tried our best. We had a lesson with Sherey, and luckily she remembered that we were coming, and was home! The lesson we had was sweet! And very spiritual! We talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and invited her to change by being baptized. She gladly excepted! It was awesome! We then went to an activity to eat tamales, and do divisions with Tajin. So I went with Elder LeBaron. He has 2 weeks in the mission, and speaks pretty much nothing of Spanish. It made me realize how far I have come.

My day with Elder LeBaron was pretty difficult as well. It was Día de Muertos so no one wanted to listen to us. And we didn't have a phone to do contacts. So we ate lunch and went with a guy we have been teaching for a while named Leonel. We were about to stop teaching him until we had this lesson. We taught him the restoration. He then told us he was coming to church next Sunday! So that was sweet! We then switched back comps in the evening, just to do another divisions in the night. But while we switched back, Elder Beltrán casually had our phone! On there divisions the taxi driver just drove up to them, gave them the phone, and left! It was a milagro! That night I went on divisions with Elder Gonzales! He was so excited to show me something that night. So we get to the apartment, and he pulls out a mountain dew! It was incredible! His sister shipped him a pack! So we drank mountain dew, and laughed the whole night!

Divisions with Gonzales are always a blast! We just joked, and had a blast the whole day. He is so funny! We had some good citas, and then switched back comps.

Thursday there was a stake activity, so we pretty much spent the day inviting people to it. And it was worth it. We had 5 investigators there! The activity was so fun! I just got to go around talking to everyone while drinking hot chocolate, and eating tamales! A dream come true.

Friday was sweet because we set up a lesson with Keidy's brother Pedro. It was an awesome lesson! And then we had a couple other good citas as well!

Sunday was fast and testimony meeting, and it was sweet! So many members love sharing their testimony, the spirit was definitely there. We then spent the day with Abelardo, he just took us to families who aren't members! We got home to do some contacts. And then all of the sudden Abelardo calls us again saying where are you guys? The family home evening has started! We were with him for like 3 hours, and he never told us about the family home eveing he set up. But we rushed over, and had a sweet lesson!

It was a great week! And I am very grateful for God! In every prayer we gave we asked to find the phone! The week would have been impossible if we didn't have the phone! God always answers prayers! Just not always when we think he will. I sure love you all, and hope you have a fantastic week!
