Las Fiestas

Hey everbody, long time no see! Last week I was walking on Wednesday and totally forgot that I didn't send an email, so sorry about that. But the holidays have been super fun! I'll give you a quick double week recap. 

 

 

Noche buena( Christmas eve) was pretty cool! We went and had breakfast in the morning, and then did servicio for a family that lives in a very humble situation. We also gave them extra pillows and blankets we found in the apartment. They were super grateful for what we gave them, it made me happy. 

 

 

Christmas was pretty great as well! We had Lunch with an awesome family! After we played games, and had a great time! 

 

 

Monday we had our Christmas party as a Zone. That was also a blast! We did secret Santa's, broke piñatas, and played Chido ball! I got a pair of brown shoes for the gift exchange! They decently were over the 200 pesos, but I am super grateful for Elder Gallo! He is such a good guy! 

 

 

On Wednesday I went on splits with my other kid Elder Sanderson! We had a blast, he is such a good Elder! It was cool because when we were together I did everything because he knew no Spanish. But this time I did hardly anything! He has grown since his training! I really missed being his comp, so it was sweet to have that other chance with him! We taught a girl who didn't speak any Spanish she spoke the native language of Puebla! Her daughter had to translate for us. It was cool to hear them speak.

 

 

Friday was a really good day as well! We went with a member to a rehab center to teach one of her friends. Honestly I wasn't paying attention to much, but when we left we somehow signed up to teach a class to like 15 people every Friday! Even though I don't know how we got the assignment I'm really exited! There is some really good people trying to change there, they just need a little bit more Jesus in there life. Then we found an inactive member who showed us around to all of his friends, so that was another miracle! This area really has been kicking my butt this transfer, so it was good to get a win. 

 

 

Saturday we had a couple lessons that went well! We then ate at a nice restaurant. After we went with some non members who bought some chicken. Really random, but delicious! The people here are really cool. We then ended the old year with a mission devotional. 

 

 

One interesting thing was that on Thursday we went to get tacos, and during my time chowing down some good food, this angry Mexican guy came storming in the restaurant. He then walked up to another guy, and just started pounding him, so he got up, and they threw hands for a bit, broke some stuff, and then one of them took off. It was really random. My comps told me that happens on the daily in there states, but for me it was interesting. 

 

 

That's about it for the week! It's been fun, but man the work is slow. Any prayers would be encouraged. I sure love all of you guys, and hope your holidays have gone incredibly well!
